Nottingham Forest manager Vitor Pereira promises that his side will be ready to face Fulham this weekend.
Forest host Fulham in a crucial Premier League game for the Reds as they bid to take a step closer to avoiding relegation.
The Reds, who currently occupy 17th place in the league by virtue of having a better goal difference than West Ham United, are winless in five games in all competitions.
Pereira’s side come off the back of losing their Europa League round of 16 first leg tie 1-0 against FC Midtjylland.
The Portuguese manager was quick to point out the difficulties of having little time to prepare between games.
He said: “I believe we will be ready, physically and mentally, to commit [to Fulham].
“The short time [between games] we used to do it before.
“That’s why I believe it’s different when we play three days, after three days, after three days.
“We did it, five games in 15 days. When you play the last game, of course you are tired.
Since Pereira’s arrival at the City Ground, the Reds have improved the quality of the football they have played.
The goals scored so far in the 57-year-old’s tenure have been of high quality; however, the points have not followed.
Pereira acknowledged the importance of picking up as many points as possible, no matter the style of play.
“Of course [I want to win],” said Pereira.
“But I believe that to win, you need to play with football and not concede goals and try to score the chances that we create.
“But I believe that I think it’s not possible to create too many chances, and in the next match if we create five or six, it is important to score one or two.”
The Forest manager also highlighted the challenges posed by Fulham, who have won their last four meetings against the Reds.
He said: “They have a very good coach, a very good manager.
“For a few years, they haven’t changed a lot.
“They are compact, they play with quality, but we have quality.
“It’s very important for us to get the three points.”
