Molly Freeman reports from Kedleston Road
The University of Derby Braves decimated the University of Hertfordshire Hurricanes 36-10 in the Varsity American Football match.
Braves got off to a poor start, conceding a safety with their first play, but three rushing touchdowns, two from quarterback Cy Roche, meant they led at half-time 21-10.
Derby carried forward their heavy offence into the third quarter when Reinis Dobelnieks put them 29-10 up. However that was overshadowed when both teams were involved in an altercation before the end of the quarter.
Tristan Nelson put the icing on the cake in the final quarter when he secured the final touchdown of the game to make it 36-10.
