The University of Derby men’s firsts football team have won the league title with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Worcester men’s firsts
Liam Sutcliffe’s side were comfortable throughout as they pipped Oxford Brookes men’s firsts to the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) Men’s Midlands Tier 2B title at Kedleston Road.
After a flurry of early chances, Emyr Lloyd headed the hosts into a 21st-minute lead before Adam Blair-Park doubled the advantage with a 43rd-minute low-drilled finish.
After a low-key second half, Dine Evora and Arnold Marimbe scored stoppage time goals to ensure their side won the title in style.
Next up for Derby men’s firsts is a trip to the University of Hertfordshire for Varsity on Wednesday, March 26.
