Derby men’s firsts celebrated winning the BUCS midlands tier 2B title on the final day of the league season.
A dominant 4-0 win saw Liam Sutcliffe’s side beat already-relegated Worcester men’s firsts in front of what is thought to be the biggest ever crowd for a University of Derby football match.
Emyr Lloyd and Adam Blair-Park put Derby 2-0 ahead at half-time before stoppage-time goals from Dine Evora and Marimbe extended the home side’s advantage.
Derby now look forward to a challenging season where they will be playing in the BUCS midlands tier 1A.
