The 93rd annual Academy Awards took place last night in Los Angeles last night.

Celebrities were encouraged to attend the red carpet, with British nominees appearing from the Academy’s UK hub at London’s BFI.

Chloe Zhao made history as the first woman of colour to win best director for her work in Nomadland. She is the second woman to ever win the award.

Anthony Hopkins won the best actor award over the late Chadwick Boseman. Boseman posthumously took home the best acting award at the Golden Globes, Critics Choice and Screen Actors Guild previously this year.
