This year has been a difficult one for football clubs and fans alike. COVID-19 has changed the landscape of football forever. Football clubs have played almost half of their games this calendar year without fans, meaning club media departments have been keen to keep supporters informed. It has affected all clubs from grassroots level to professional clubs like York City in different ways.

Basford United not affected by Northern Premier League return

The Northern Premier League have finally confirmed a start date after a months-long pause due to COVID-19. Players in the NPL will be allowed to take to the field again on Boxing Day. Steve Chettle manager of Basford United, will not be affected by this news as his side is involved with the FA Trophy. However, Lewis Brownhill of Spalding United will not take to the field until 26th December.
