Derby University women’s 1s couldn’t compete with a dominant Oxford women’s 1s as they lost 6-1 this afternoon at Kedleston Road.
Jordan Diverniero scored within 14 seconds and completed her hat-trick inside 36 minutes before Lili Wondwossen-Burnett made it four in the 41st minute.
Ella Brennan grabbed a consolation early in the second half, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way with a penalty, before Kez Elston and Diverniero grabbed a fifth and sixth for the visitors.
Derby 1s, who drew 2-2 with Loughborough 3s last week, will look for a dramatic improvement when they face Nottingham 2s back in the Midlands 1A in a fortnight.
