Oscar Hinkley reports from Kedleston Road
It was a fantastic and composed promotion-winning performance from Derby University men’s firsts as they beat Worcester 3-0 to win promotion to Midlands tier 2A.
Derby firsts got the ball rolling from the beginning of the match, as they applied heavy pressure until the 21st minute when Emyr Lloyd headed home from a Devante Ramsay cross to score and inch his side closer to promotion.
It took another 21 minutes for Derby to score again, as Ramsay got his second assist of the game setting up star striker Adam Blair-Park whose low driven effort found the back of the net.
Into injury time of the second half, a quick double from Dine Evora and Arnold Marimbe sealed promotion for Liam Sutcliffe’s side.
