An impressive performance from the University of Derby 5th XI saw Taylor Toney-Green’s side beat De Montfort University 3rd XI 4-0 on Wednesday night to seal an important three points.
The hosts therefore draw level with De Montfort on nine points at the bottom end of BUCS Aldi Men’s Midlands Division 5D.
Goals from goals from Adam Hammall and Harrison Stewart lit up an impressive first half from Derby who fired in another two with no reply, courtesy of Tyler Perkins and Hammall again, after the interval.
Toney-Green’s side will be hoping to continue their good form to see out the season as they entertain third-placed Bishop Grosseteste next a week on Wednesday.
