Gareth Southgate has announced his latest England squad, and it’s fair to say that it’s divided opinion.
One fan branded Southgate ‘stubborn’ for his choice, claiming that the Three Lions boss continues to select ‘underperforming’ players.
Another praised the selections of Lewis Dunk and Ebere Eze, however, stating that this could be a chance for underutilised talent to make an impression in white.
Crystal Palace attacker Eze could make his debut for England after being called up for the first time, and Brighton defender Dunk could play for his country for the first time since his 2018 debut.
Chelsea attacker Raheem Sterling and Arsenal’s Ben White miss out, however, for the Euro 2024 qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia.
