Ebere Eze could make his England debut after being included in manager Gareth Southgate’s squad for the Three Lions’ Euro 2024 qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia.

Brighton centre-back Lewis Dunk is also part of the squad, and could play for his country for the first time since 2018.

Raheem Sterling and Ben White miss out, while Callum Wilson also makes the squad.

Wilson’s Newcastle United team-mate Nick Pope is absent, however, with Crystal Palace’s Sam Johnstone selected alongside fellow Eagle Marc Guehi.

England will first travel to Malta for their first game on Friday, June 16, before facing North Macedonia at Wembley three days later.

They’re hoping to maintain their 100% record in Group C, having beaten Italy and Ukraine to top the group with two games played.

North Macedonia won their only match so far, beating Malta 2-1. The Falcons are pointless after their opening two fixtures, having lost 2-0 to Italy in their second.

The top two nations in the group will qualify for the tournament, which takes place next summer in Germany.
