Which players could cause England problems?

England v Montenegro: Three Montenegro players to watch out for against England

Montenegro have only lost once in four games to England

England continue their European Championship qualifiers when they travel to Podgorica to face Montenegro tonight.

With former Manchester City players Stefan Savic and Stevan Jovetic ruled out of the tie here are three players who could potentially cause England some problems.

Fatos Beciraj

Beciraj during his time at Dinamo Moscow

Fatos Beciraj is expected to start up front against the Three Lions due to Jovetic’s injury. The striker has been a bit of a journeyman in his career playing for nine different clubs, including Dinamo Moscow and Dinamo Zagreb. Now at Israeli side Maccabi Netanya he has scored 14 goals this season so could cause England’s backline some problems.

Stefan Mugosa

Mugosa could trouble England

Mugosa is going to be Montengro’s main goal threat tonight. The striker currently plays in South Korea for Incheon Utd and has scored two goals in three games this season; to carry on his hot form from last season where he contributed 19 goals. In addition, Mugosa scored three Nations League goals in five games; and netted against Bulgaria on Friday night in a 1-1 draw.

Adam Marusic

Winger Adam Marusic is one of Montengro’s well known players; featuring heavily for Serie A side Lazio this season. The tricky winger has scored big goals against Marseille and Parma this season and will be looking for another one against the Three Lions.
