Entrepreneur Claire Leach says she is planning to open a new salon and beauty business creating approximately 12 jobs for hairdressers and beauty therapists.
Claire, aged 44, opened her first business in Hilton over 20 years ago. Now, she is planning to expand and open another salon in Stretton.
The mum-of-one, already employs around 10 people at her salon in Hilton, ranging from receptionists, apprentices, hair stylists and beauty therapists.

She has yet to decide exactly where the new business be, however, is hoping to be open as early as next Autumn.
Claire, owns Renaissance Hair and Beauty and Mr C’s Barber Shop, just a few doors away from each other on Main Street in Hilton.

The hair and beauty salon is approved by some of the leading experts in the industry, including, GHD, L’Oréal, St Tropez and Dermologica.

The plan to expand has always been in Claire’s mind, however, has been waiting for the right time. She said: “I’ve been thinking about expanding for a while now, but have never been able to find the right location. I’ve seen a few buildings in the perfect spot, which is looking promising. Nothing is set in stone just yet, but fingers crossed we have another salon up and running next Autumn”.
Senior stylist and salon manager, Carly Nixon, said: “Both the salon and the barber shop have built up such creditable, reliable reputations and trustworthy relationships with their clients over the last 20 years, that it is time to add to that franchise”.

The salon has extremely high standards when it comes to staff, Claire said: “I expect my staff to work to the highest of standards. Hair is such an important thing, to women especially, so I feel customers only deserve the best when having their hair done.
Most of my staff began working for me as an apprentice, so have been trained by me – I completely trust them, they’re all amazing at what they do”.

Claire, prides herself on the fact that all of her staff have such passion and believes this to be one of the most influential qualities of a successful business.
She said: “My first proper salon experience was awful, I was 17 and I went in asking for highlights, and I ended up looking like a tiger, it was so stripy, it looked horrendous. I knew from then on, I didn’t want anybody to feel the same way I did”.
Carly, aged 37, said: “It is such an important part of the job to keep up to date with the latest styles and trends.

Carly, a mum-of-three, who has worked at the salon since she was 16, believes that adding to this franchise will benefit their customers massively.
She said: “We are always fully booked, and some of our customers travel quite far to get to us, so having another salon will mean people can get booked in a lot quicker and won’t have to wait as long for an appointment. It also means that clients that live closer to Burton, have another salon they can go to without having to travel quite as far”.

Customer, Beverley Baxter, aged 61, from Stapenhill, a long-term client at Renaissance Hair and Beauty explains how she doesn’t trust anybody else to do her hair.

She said: “I’ve been coming to the salon ever since it opened, which will be around 20 years ago now. I have never had a bad experience and I am always pleased with how my hair turns out, the staff here are so reliable and I don’t think I’ll ever trust anybody else to do my hair again.”.
Beverley explained how she had experimented so much with her hairstyles. “I’m now a very bleach blonde, but I have gone from one extreme to the other with hair colours – it used to be jet black! But I’ve always been completely satisfied with everything I’ve had done there”.
