It is mental health awareness week and the focus of this year is movement and doing the things that naturally make us feel better!

Here are some things Derby County Council suggest you could do:

Derby Active free five-day pass

Derby city residents can get a free five-day pass at Derby Arena or Springwood Leisure Centre, including a no-joining fee where people can speak to a health and wellbeing adviser.

Derby Active Gyms include state-of-art equipment, PULSE weights machines, functional floor areas, and over 75 classes to choose from such as LesMills Body Attack, Yoga and Indoor Fitness Cycling.

Personalised mental health improvement plan

‘Better Health: Every Mind Matters’ encourages people to do a quiz to improve and maintain mental health.

Completion of the quiz generates a personalised plan based on what information someone provides.

If you need help with anxiety, low mood, stress, or advice on how to fall asleep faster, doing the quiz can be useful.
