Once again Netflix is releasing some more bingeworthy titles this week.

From the story of the “Black Samurai” to the Elton John biopic, you won’t want to miss the gripping new additions.

But firstly, lets recap last weeks highlights:

Jackie

The 2016 drama stars Academy Award winner Natalie Portman as Jackie Kennedy. It follows Kennedy’s life during her husband’s Presidency, and immediately after his assassination in 1963. Portman won 9 Best Actress awards for her role in the historical biopic.

Stowaway

A three-person crew on a mission to Mars faces an impossible choice when an unplanned passenger jeopardizes the lives of everyone on board. Starring Anna Kendrick, Daniel Dae Kim, Shamier Anderson and Toni Collette.

Shadow and Bone

The long awaited adaptation of Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo finally reached our screens last weekend. Sinister forces plot against a young soldier after she reveals a magical power that may unite her world. Stars Ben Barnes and Jessie Mei Li.

Yasuke (Season 1)

Oscar nominee LaKeith Stanfield (“Knives Out”) voices Yasuke in this action fantasy series. Once enslaved, now a samurai. This April, honor has a new name. Premieres April 29th only on Netflix.

Things Heard and Seen

Starring Amanda Seyfried, after moving to a small town with her husband, a young artist begins to suspect that their home harbours a dark secret. Based on the acclaimed novel by Elizabeth Brundage. Coming to Netflix Thursday April 29th.

The Innocent (Limited series)

A Spanish adaptation of Harlan Coban’s thriller novel ‘The Innocent’. An accidental killing leads a man down a dark hole of intrigue and murder; just as he finds love and freedom, a phone call brings back the nightmare. Coming April 30th.

Rocketman

The 2019 Elton John biopic finally reaches Netflix this week. A musical fantasy about the fantastical human story of Elton John’s breakthrough years. Starring Taron Egerton as Elton John, the film picked up two Golden Globes in 2020 for Best Actor and Best Song Motion Picture. Coming to Netflix Friday 30th April.
